MLS/IDX/XML Integration Service
FW Real Estate does not include a built-in plugin for importing property listings from external data feeds. If your workflow requires automatic synchronisation with an MLS board, an IDX provider, or any XML/CSV data source, this can be handled through a custom development service offered by the Fastw3b team.
What the Service Covers
The integration service is a bespoke solution built around your specific data source and requirements. Typical use cases include:
- Importing listings from an MLS (Multiple Listing Service) feed
- Connecting to an IDX (Internet Data Exchange) provider
- Parsing and importing property data from XML or CSV files delivered by a third-party system
- Scheduled or on-demand synchronisation to keep listings current
Because data formats, field mappings, and update frequencies vary significantly between providers, a single off-the-shelf plugin cannot reliably serve every case. A custom integration is scoped to match your feed's exact structure and your site's field configuration.
How to Request the Service
To enquire about a custom MLS/IDX/XML integration, contact the Fastw3b team directly. When reaching out, provide as much detail as possible about your requirements:
- The name and type of your data provider or feed format (MLS board, IDX platform, XML/CSV specification)
- A sample of the data file or feed URL if available
- The fields you need mapped to FW Real Estate property fields, including any custom fields you have created
- How frequently listings should be updated (real-time, hourly, daily, etc.)
- Any specific rules for handling new listings, price changes, status updates, or removed listings
Contact options and response times are listed on the Fastw3b website.
Preparing Your Site
Before a custom integration can be built, ensure your FW Real Estate installation is fully configured. Specifically:
- Dictionaries — populate Property Types, Statuses, Categories, Locations, and any other dropdowns that your feed data will map to. Custom integration work relies on these values existing in advance.
- Custom Fields — if your feed contains data that does not correspond to standard property fields, create the necessary custom fields via FW Real Estate → Fields before the integration is scoped.
- Agents — if listings will be assigned to agents, ensure agent profiles are in place.
A well-configured site reduces the time needed to scope and build the integration, and ensures imported listings display correctly on the frontend from the first sync.
