Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is this add-on included in my subscription?

    Yes. FWRE Map View is included in the Starter, Professional, and Agency tiers of the FW Real Estate subscription. You get the add-on plus updates and support as long as your subscription stays active.

  • Is Map View included in my subscription?

    The Map View addon is a paid addon included in all FW Real Estate subscription packages (Start, Medium, Pro). Subscribers can install it from their Client Section along with all other premium addons.

  • Do I need a Google Maps API key?

    Yes. To display maps on your website, you need two Google API keys: one for the Maps JavaScript API (browser-side) with HTTP referrer restrictions, and one for the Geocoding API (server-side) with IP address restrictions. This separation is required by Google and protects your keys from abuse.

  • Can I use Mapbox instead of Google Maps?

    Yes. In the addon settings, select Mapbox as your provider and enter your Mapbox API key. Mapbox is an alternative with different pricing and styling options. You can switch providers at any time without re-entering property coordinates.

  • How do visitors search properties by distance?

    Enable the Display Map on Listing Page setting and add a radius field to your search form. Visitors enter an address and a distance in miles or kilometers, and the addon filters properties by geographic distance in real time. Works with the FWRE Search Module add-on.

  • What if a property has no coordinates?

    Properties without valid latitude and longitude coordinates will not appear on map views or in radius search results. The addon silently skips them. You can add coordinates manually in the property edit form or re-save the property to trigger automatic geocoding.
